This one is pretty near and dear to my heart. I made this cake for my wedding in May and it was a pretty big challenge given that I kept changing my mind about what I wanted. I had some amazing friends and family that helped me cover my reception in polka dots. Just a couple nights before the wedding I settled on the design and it turned out just the way I was hoping it would. The cake was a favorite of mine, lemon with a fresh raspberry swirl (my friend Marie's wedding cake of choice for breakfast) and I topped that off with a homemade ivory butter cream made with lots of love, a touch of anxiety, and loads and loads of real butter. It got it's close up courtesy of Van, photographer extraordinaire.
